Eight persons are reported to have been killed by shelling in Jewish Jerusalem during the past 24 hours. According to Jewish statements, the Arab Legion shelled the northern parts of the town from within the walled Old City near the Damascus Gate, while “irregulars” attacked with machine-gun and mortar fire a girls’ agricultural training farm which is part of the recently demilitarized zone surrounding the former Government House.
